The H-Lift GT-CA Geared Travel Trolley is a heavy-duty material handling device designed to smoothly transport heavy suspended loads horizontally along I-beams and overhead tracks.
Equipped with a geared drive mechanism operated by a hand chain, allowing for precise, controlled horizontal movement of heavy loads with minimal physical effort.
Highly recommended for capacities over 3 tons (3,000 kg), beam elevations greater than 6 meters, or applications requiring accurate load spotting where a plain push trolley is impractical.
Features an adjustable width design using spacer washers to easily accommodate a wide range of standard I-beam and H-beam track profiles.
Provides a secure suspension point for attaching manual or electric hoists, commonly utilized in manufacturing, construction, and warehousing facilities.
Precise Hand Chain Control | I-Beam Adjustable | CE & EN 13157 Compliant
The GT-CA Geared Travel Trolley is a high-precision traversing solution designed for moving heavy suspended loads along overhead beams. Featuring a robust hand chain drive and high-grade gearing, it allows for effortless and extremely accurate horizontal positioning. Ideal for I-beams and H-beams, this trolley is the industry standard for workshops, maintenance bays, and heavy industrial assembly lines.
🛡️ Safety & Compliance Standards: • Fully complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. • Meets EN 13157 safety requirements. • Proof load tested at 1.5x the rated capacity for guaranteed structural reliability.
⚙️ Precise Hand Chain Control
The integrated hand chain and gear system enables operators to move loads with millimeter precision and minimal physical effort, regardless of the load's weight. Supplied with a standard 3-meter operating height chain.
📐 Fully Adjustable Beam Width
Highly customizable load bar. By simply adjusting the number of spacing washers, the GT-CA can be fitted to a wide variety of I-beam flange widths (Standard vs. Extra-Long beam ranges).
🛡️ Superior Safety Engineering
Equipped with anti-drop plates that act as safety lugs to prevent derailment. These plates also double as bumpers to protect trolley wheels from damage when contacting rail end stoppers.
🔄 Effortless Traversing
Features high-strength wheels mounted on permanently lubricated, sealed ball bearings. This ensures smooth, maintenance-free travel along the beam, even when handling maximum rated capacities up to 10 tons.

Q: When should I choose a Geared Trolley over a Push Trolley?A: You should choose a Geared Trolley (GT-CA) when handling loads over 3 tons, when the beam is higher than 6 meters, or when you need extremely precise horizontal positioning. The gearing allows for slow, controlled movement which is safer for high-capacity lifts. A push trolley is more economical for lighter loads and lower heights where the operator can manually push the suspended load.
Q: Can I install this trolley on a curved beam?A: Yes. The GT-CA series is designed to navigate curved tracks. The minimum curve radius depends on the capacity: from 1.0m (for 1t) up to 1.7m (for 10t). It is critical to ensure your beam flange width matches the trolley's wheel profile for safe operation on curves.

What is a Travel Trolley?
A push or geared travel trolley is a device designed to move heavy loads horizontally along an I-beam or similar track. It consists of a frame, wheels (rollers), and a suspension point for attaching a hoist or load.
Push vs. Geared: Which one to choose?
Push (Plain) Trolley: Best for infrequent movement or relatively light loads (typically up to 3 tons). Suitable where the beam height is below 6m (20ft). The operator simply pushes the load to move it.
Geared Trolley: Recommended for heavier loads (over 3 tons), higher beam elevations (>6m), or where precise positioning is required. Operated by pulling a hand chain which drives the wheels via gears.

Safety Guidelines
Always
Store and handle trolleys correctly in a clean, dry area.
Inspect trolleys, blocks, and accessories before use.
Ensure the wheel profile matches the track/beam type.
Verify the trolley width is correctly set for the beam width.
Ensure the track is fitted with positive end stops.
Push (rather than pull) loads suspended on push trolleys.
Never
Never expose trolleys to chemicals (like acids) without consulting the supplier.
Never force or wedge the suspension hook onto the load bar.
Never throw or drop a trolley.
Never use a trolley with chipped or damaged wheel flanges.
Never obliquely side load a trolley (this can cause tipping or detachment).
Installation & Maintenance Guide
Installing and Commissioning
Ensure the runway track is level and has an even surface. Check that positive end stops are installed. Verify the trolley width is set correctly with spacers centered. Confirm anti-tilt devices are properly adjusted. If re-assembling, ensure all bolts and nuts are fully tightened.
Using Trolleys Safely
Do not side load! The trolley must be placed directly over the center of gravity of the load. Oblique side loading causes tipping and can lead to the trolley falling off the track. For push trolleys, push the load rather than pulling it to maintain better control.
In-service Inspection
Regularly inspect for wear on wheel treads and flanges. Check for insecure wheels, loose axle pins/nuts, or distorted side plates. Ensure hand chains (on geared models) are not damaged. Keep wheel running surfaces clean and free of oil/grease contamination to ensure traction.
