The H-Lift Beam Clamp BC Type is a robust, adjustable clamp designed to provide a quick and secure temporary anchoring point on I-beams or girders for various lifting and rigging applications.
Firm Anchor Point: Creates a safe and reliable overhead suspension point for attaching manual or electric hoists, lever blocks, and pulley systems.
Adjustable Clamping Jaws: Features a threaded spindle mechanism that easily adjusts to fit a wide range of beam flange widths (from 75mm up to 350mm) [page:1].
Versatile & Repositionable: Ideal for applications requiring a removable suspension point, eliminating the need for permanently welded or bolted lugs.
Heavy-Duty Construction: Manufactured from high-quality steel with rated Working Load Limits (WLL) ranging from 1 tonne to 10 tonnes [page:1].
*Installation: The jaws clamp securely onto the beam flange without drilling.
Maximize Safety and Efficiency
The H-Lift BC Type Beam Clamp is a mechanical clamp designed to attach securely to the flange of a structural steel beam (like an I-beam or H-beam) without drilling or welding. It provides a rigid anchoring point for suspending loads, hoists, threaded rods, conduits, and piping.
Protect Your Infrastructure: The clamp-on design ensures zero damage to your support beams, eliminating the need for welding or drilling.
Save Time: Install in minutes using the adjustable spindle—perfect for maintenance crews and mobile rigging setups.
Reliable Performance: Available in capacities from 1 ton to 10 tons, each unit is proof-load tested to ensure maximum safety for your overhead lifting projects.
*Typical Application: Creating a suspension point for a chain block.

H-Lift Beam Clamp / Girder Clamp
Safety & Usage Guidelines
What is a Beam Clamp?
A beam clamp is a lifting accessory designed to attach to the flange of a steel beam (I-beam or H-beam) to create a semi-permanent lifting point. It serves as an anchor for hoists, pulleys, or other lifting devices. Proper selection and use are critical to ensure the safety of the load and the integrity of the beam structure.
Safety Guidelines
Always
Store and handle beam clamps correctly in a clean, dry place.
Inspect beam clamps and accessories before every use.
Ensure the supporting structure (beam) is adequate for the full load imposed.
Check the clamp is the correct profile and size for the beam width and seats correctly on the flange.
Ensure the clamp is rated strong enough for the load.
Position the clamp directly over the center of gravity of the load.
Never
Use unidentified or uncertified clamps for lifting applications.
Replace bolts, shackles, or pins without consulting the supplier.
Throw or drop beam clamps.
Use clamps on damaged or distorted beams.
Force or wedge lifting hooks into the attachment eye/shackle.
Obliquely load beam clamps without authorization (side loading can cause slippage).
Selection & Operation Guide
Selecting the Correct Clamp
Beam clamps vary in capacity and design (adjustable/non-adjustable, scissor, screw, or bolt action). Consider:
Type of clamp mechanism.
Capacity relative to the load.
Beam flange width range.
Suitability for temporary vs. permanent application.
NOTE: Most beam clamps are intended for overhead suspension. Consult the supplier if attaching to the load itself.
Using Beam Clamps Safely
Ensure the lifting appliance (hoist) is compatible with the clamp. The load must not swing, as this imposes dangerous oblique loading. If using two clamps in tandem (e.g., with a spreader beam), ensure neither clamp exceeds its Safe Working Load (SWL).
In-service Inspection
Regularly clean and lubricate moving parts. Inspect for wear, distortion, cracks, insecure bolts, corrosion, or illegible markings. If defects are found, refer the clamp to a Competent Person immediately.
